Latest NewsShiraz review by Josh Raynolds (US)... Deep, saturated red. Spicy cherry, cassis and cracked pepper on the nose, with a subtle lavender quality adding complexity. Very syrah in character, offering sharply focused dark berry and cracked pepper flavors. A violet candy quality gains strength on the finish, which leaves palate-numbing pepper and spices behind. Those used to easygoing shiraz may find this uncompromising, but I like its energy and focus. Shiraz tasting, Tuesday 7th October 2008 We're pleased to announce our upcoming Shiraz tasting event, to be held on Tuesday 7th October from 2pm to 8pm. See our flyer for full details. Winter in the vineyard ... 2008 ... Naked vines, new lambs, some green ground cover, cold air and even colder winds, crisp clear days, misty rain... Winter also marks new releases of Craiglee wines at Cellar Door. If you are not yet on the mailing list, please contact us for details of the tasting opportunities coming up soon. |
